Dynamic Precipitation in Supersaturated Al–Zn–Mg–Cu Alloy During Warm Stretching

چکیده

Abstract High-strength Al–Zn–Mg–Cu alloys such as AA7075 rely on precipitation to obtain their properties, and the evolution of these precipitates can be strongly influenced by deformation. In this study, effect warm stretching in supersaturated was investigated. A dilatometer used enable rapid quenching directly from solution treatment temperature temperature. The monitored using small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) transmission electron microscopy (TEM). SAXS revealed presence clusters only 5 seconds after quenching, subsequent microstructure involved growth coarsening clusters. Deformation enhanced cluster/precipitate rate, which increased linearly with increasing strain. strain rate also noted, being faster at higher for same level. However, acceleration not sufficient compensate reduced time, so that deformation led small (at iso-strain). TEM homogeneously dispersed matrix both without There no evidence nucleation due deformation, indeed opposite case, fewer but larger observed deformed microstructure. linear increase is consistent a dominant excess vacancies enhancing diffusion rates.

Fatigue performance improvement in AISI 4140 steel by dynamic strain aging and dynamic precipitation during warm laser shock peening

Warm laser shock peening (WLSP) is a thermomechanical treatment technique combining the advantages of laser shock peening and dynamic strain aging (DSA). Through DSA, WLSP of steel increases the dislocation density and stabilizes the dislocation structure by pinning of mobile dislocations by carbon atoms. In addition, WLSP generates nanoscale carbide precipitates through strain-induced precipit...

The effect of warm-up, static stretching and dynamic stretching on hamstring flexibility in previously injured subjects

BACKGROUND Warm-up and stretching are suggested to increase hamstring flexibility and reduce the risk of injury. This study examined the short-term effects of warm-up, static stretching and dynamic stretching on hamstring flexibility in individuals with previous hamstring injury and uninjured controls. METHODS A randomised crossover study design, over 2 separate days. Hamstring flexibility wa...

The Acute Effects of Static Stretching Compared to Dynamic Stretching with and without an Active Warm up on Anaerobic Performance

The Wingate Anaerobic Test (WAnT) has been used in many studies to determine anaerobic performance. However, there has been poor reporting of warm-up protocols and limited consistency between warm-up methods that have been used. With the WAnT being such a commonly-used test, consistency in warm-up methods is essential in order to compare results across studies. Therefore, this study was designe...
